Day #1

7:23AM

I've been rolling around in bed for the past 2 hours, sitting up, doing stretches and just trying to pass the time before it's time to get up. The bed provides much needed warmth ad comfort for the 11 degree weather we're getting. I can hardly believe I'm already here. Maybe it just feels like the beginning of an extended holiday and the reality hasn't sunk in yet. I can still feel the hugs and see the smiles that we left behind when we walked through the departure gates yesterday. I miss everyone already.

Steph sits on the carpeted floor, talking to a boy far, far away. All these time differences confuse me, but it's nice to know technology keeps us all close and a phone call away.

Coming/Being here has thrown me into a state of limbo, mostly because I'm not very good with feelings and unlike a holiday I can't just press pause and play whenever I want.

So welcome to my life for the next 4 months, I don't know what's in store yet but i'm sure it'll be one helluva adventure.
