I am my father's daughter.
I am my father's daughter when I see things with perspective, with a filtered vision to understand that there is always a flip side to every story. That there is more than just taking things in at face value. I have inherited stability, a sense of justice.
But some days, I am my mother.
Disorganized and emotional. Like a pregnant woman swollen with overactive hormones and a belly heavy with life. A heart big enough but covered with flaws just the same. Compassion and apathy swirled together in harmony.
I am who I am because of who you are, moulded and shaped to reflect every side. Bent and broken - but craving and learning that I can be made new and perfect in Christ. Please let me remember that every day, because I've been getting lost and I can't seem to want to be found.
