A Romance of Daily Things #02 - Ballpoint Pens

You sent me a parcel the other day, and I laughed when I saw what it was.
At first thought, I bemused the silliness of spending that much money on a cheap, seemingly unnecessary necessity, but as I sat in the library today fiddling with the blue ballpoint in my hand, I thought about how this cheap necessity bridged an ocean. The simple act of feeling like you're a part of my current experience. Your way of showing me that it's always about doing, and materialising the thoughts you're too shy to say.

Sometimes I catch myself worrying about this ocean. That we'd simply float along and find ourselves always on opposite sides of the tide. But you prove me wrong in your small, necessary ways.

How wonderful.
